XWR (which stands for Xtreme Water Repellency) is a development of the highly acclaimed but also highly priced Avlare range, but is both a better product and better value. The high stretch fabric is treated to be amazingly water repellent - so much so that when hit by oncoming water or even during brief submersion the shirt stays almost totally dry. It has to be seen to be believed.
The benefits of this are improved comfort, but also significantly reduced chill from wind and water. This can turn a comfortable UV shirt from lightweight comfort into instant chill and regret, where often you might be better off without one on. But no longer. XWR allows you to stay protected, comfortable and focused on your goals.
What's more, the incredible water repellency treatment used is both PFC Free and will last a very long time, only losing a minor percentage of its effectiveness after over 100 wash cycles. Not only does this mean it does not wash off, avoiding environmental damage, but the shirt will also last you longer, so the life cycle of the product is extended. Another win for our world and your kit wardrobe. And finally, the fabric is made from 85% recycled PET plastic.
